Here are some points of interest from around the ‘Net.

I also wanted to see if anyone was interested in the following concept: A page called “coup-oning.” This wouldn’t be a list of weekly specials. Instead, it would be more a way for me to talk about what deals I’m taking advantage of — for fabulous prices — and a place for you guys to boast about your own spectacular savings.

It could help raise people’s awareness of how to best use coupons, or it could just be a spot to be immodest about your frugality.

Now, onto some links!

FruGal muses on the ridiculous cost of weddings… on the friends of the bride.

Over at Engaged Marriage, the question is posed: Should married couples have joint accounts?

Ninja over at Punch Debt in the Face talks about financial puberty.

Over on Pecuniarities, a post asks whether lottery tickets are a worthy investment or a waste of money. (I say both and neither…)

Elle over at Couple Money is giving away a netbook to celebrate 6 months of blogging. Enter now!

And this has nothing to do with personal finance, but it’s too cute to *not* post. (Warning, this will induce girly noises.)

Carnivals:

Coup-oning sounds like a good idea. It's nice to hear a personal side to using coupons rather than just telling people such and such coupon is out there. =)

I like the idea, though I think it would be more fun to just be a place to share are own awesome savings.

Haha. Bought my first three lottery tickets last month for mystery shops, won nothing. I MAY do some more of those surveys if I can be bothered – you can't win if you aren't in, and they end up free for me – but at the same time the odds are so low!
