I’d like to welcome my mom to the world of blogging.
For those of you who don’t know, my mom, Donna Freedman, writes for MSN Money. She wrote a rather infamous piece, Surviving and Thriving on $12,000 a Year.
She now has her own personal blog up at http://www.donnafreedman.com
It won’t just be about personal finance. I wish I could describe it, but I’m not entirely sure what it will be about either. I’m guessing a mix of frugality, learning to actually spend once in awhile, and otherwise trying to find happiness in life — which often means changing very old habits.
Oh, that and funny/strange stuff like when she goes up to Alaska for the annual Talkeetna Bachelors Auction. (These are wilderness men, by and large, and there’s often a good reason why they’re single.)
So I’d appreciate it if you’d add her to your list of blogs. I guarantee she’ll be interesting to read.

I didn't know she's your mom! I've enjoyed her posts on MSN – particularly how she earned extra money watching porn, haha! Off to check her out.

I found out about your blog from your mom mentioning it on MSN posts, so way to return the favor

Thanks, kiddo.
@The Saved Quarter: People still sometimes post at the Smart Spending message board, "How can I get a job like that? I have to pay TO watch porn!" Snort.
@Elizabeth and SonyaAnn: Thanks for your encouraging words. I'll work hard to give you something worth reading.
