Today is Tim’s and my second anniversary of married life, four of actually being together.
Generally, we just go out to dinner for our anniversary. This year, though, I knew Tim really wanted this thing that was $20. The only problem: I couldn’t remember which type it was.
So, about a week ago, as I was getting myself a magazine subscription, I realized I was spending (before Mr. Rebates cash back) $19.99. So I announced to him that I had more or less bought my own anniversary present and we should go to Walmart and pick up his.
Our splurges? For me, a one-year subscription to logic puzzles magazine; for him, a set of Transformers with both Bumblebee and Starscream.
Hence the title of this post.
On a serious note, to my husband of two years (and partner for four), I love you. What’s more, I continue to marvel at your patience with me. And, as always, you make me a better person (and certainly saner) by being in my life.
Now I’m off to go do a logic puzzle.
