The website Amoozle is currently offering a buy one, get one free on $25 Visa, MasterCard and American Express gift cards. My mom used the site to buy a similar offer for Amazon. The code was emailed to her after the promotion ended, so I know it’s not a hoax.
Now, before you get too excited, I should warn you there are some restrictions:
1. You can only get one of each card.
2. The cards won’t ship until the promotion ends, which is when all 500 are sold or 21 days are up. Whichever comes first.
3. There’s a $4.95 handling fee for each card you buy. So, for 3 buy-one-get-one offers, I was charged $14.95. That’s why I say that I saved $60.05, rather than $75.
4. You’ll (probably) be charged a foreign transaction fee. Despite being available only in the U.S., apparently Amoozle is Canadian. Or so reports my mom, who was charged about 88 cents by her credit card company.
That said, I’m still saving at least $55 — probably closer to $58. Seems worth it to me!

I hope you're right — I just ordered a bunch of them. Scary…

I'm going to do a piece about this myself (curse you, faster daughter!) that points out that if you don't want to shop with these cards you can sell them on the secondary market.
That's my plan for the Target card: Bought $50 card for $29.95; will sell it for $46; thus I will earn $16.05 profit
These cards would also be good for gifting: birthday, major holiday, wedding, new baby, graduation et al.

What sites do you use to sell your gift cards?

Cardpool and Plastic Jungle will buy your GCs. And Mr. Rebates will give you 1% back on both buying and selling GCs to Plastic Jungle.
