I have my doubts.
I just picked up a jar of Vitafusion gummy multivitamins at Costco. During the last pregnancy, I had gummy prenatals, too.
In my defense, the regular prenatals I’d gotten had a terrible aftertaste. You know the smell that a lot of vitamin stores have? That was the taste. Not so bad in the nose. Really unpleasant on the tongue.
At any rate, I have this sneaking suspicion that you shouldn’t find your vitamins delicious. I mean, they’re not gummy bears, but they’re pretty tasty.
If I have to be given vitamins as candy, maybe I should turn in my adulthood badge.
The one piece of maturity showing through? I saved $6 off the Amazon price. That’s a four month supply for a little under 10 cents a day. Not bad. But I’m sure there are plenty of places to get grown-up vitamins for half that.
Then again, how do you put a price on not dreading more pills to swallow? (Unless you’re Vitafusion, anyway.)
Currently, I take four pills in the morning and another one and a half at night. Add in another one if I need Ambien that night. And that’s significantly lower than it has been for the last 7 years.
No wonder I have to be tricked into taking care of myself. (They should totally make a gummy birth control pill!)
So anyway feel free to weigh in on the subject. I’m off to chew my vitamins.
