The ultrasound is in, well, just look at the title. I have it on Thursday at 11:40 a.m. I’m trying to think calming thoughts til then while distracting myself with TV.
So far, so good. I haven’t noticed any cramping or spotting — and I’m definitely on alert for it.
Meanwhile, the nausea is heavy. No puking, but the thought of a lot of foods makes me queasy as hell. Unfortunately, that doesn’t include most greasy food. In fact, that and starchy/salty foods are about the only things I can handle. I had to freeze some sweet and spicy chicken I made because I couldn’t face eating it. Instead, I’ve had pasta and power bars the last couple of days.
I’m trying to take the nausea as a good, if annoying sign. It hasn’t been this strong before, even when I was using the progesterone they prescribed. Due to various factors, I haven’t yet gotten around to getting it filled this time. I’ll find out on Thursday if they think my blood count warrants it. (At this point, they issue it as a precaution, even before my blood test results come back.)
All of that said, I’ve warned my supervisor to be potentially ready to take over Thursday afternoon if necessary. But we’re hoping for the best and trying to focus on the positive signs thus far.
