Our experiment was a success! I filled the five-gallon jug and some light cramps started with a little light spotting. The next day the cramps had receded. So we went to the grocery store and picked up a bunch of soda for Tim, which I insisted on getting off the shelves and carrying in from the car. That got the cramps going a bit.
Then… no progress other than light cramping for two days.
But this morning the cramps were more noticeable and, uh, bodily stuff none of you want to hear about. Suffice to say, things are getting going in earnest.
So I did the smart thing for once and went to Urgent Care before I was in a ton of pain. (Bonus: There was no one in the waiting room at 9:00 a.m.) They were willing to prescribe some hydrocodone. Then we did a little stock up shopping, which means I just got all the junk food that I might crave. And a couple of cans of soup and some protein bars.
By that point, the cramps were getting a little more intense. So we came home, and I ate something then took the pill. They were definitely uncomfortable, but it should be within an hour or so. In the meantime, they’re distinctly uncomfortable. Again: Get to the pain before it gets overwhelming.
So that’s about all the news that’s fit to print. We’ll be watching TV and I’ll probably conk out some from the drugs. Don’t say we don’t know how to party. Or, actually, do. We won’t contradict you.
