I finished the book. (And by “finished” I mean that it’s finished being written. Now comes a lot of editing and the various other factors that need to get dealt with before it’s ready to be sold.) Unfortunately, in the mad dash to get the rough draft out and keep up with other life stuff, I forgot to get a refill of my meds.
I’d been meaning to find a new provider, but I just kept putting it off. And so Friday I realized I had enough for my morning and evening dose, plus Saturday’s morning dose with 0 refills left.
So I had Walgreens submit a refill request and then left a message on the doctors’ voicemail. I apologized, said I needed an appointment but could they please please please be sure to get in touch with Walgreens asap? I couldn’t be off my meds.
Spoiler alert: They didn’t. This is one of the reasons I want to change providers.
I didn’t even realize why my head felt stuffed with cotton most of yesterday until I still felt this bad this morning. I called Walgreens, and they’re going to float me a couple of days’ worth. I put in another call to the doctor. I’ll call again this afternoon if my brain works well enough to remember.
Anyway, I’ll get this sorted out, I’ll see this guy one more time to get some more refills, and then I’m going to find a new provider. I just want to be clearheaded while Mom’s here — well, in general, but you get my point — so we can go over various edits and such.
I would love love love to have Frugality for Depressives up by the end of next month. I bought the domain because I could get it for 99 cents plus tax. Not sure if I’ll actually get a site built. It might be handy to have an actual site if I want to send out press releases, something else Mom and I will be talking over when she’s gets here.
Well, we’ll talk about the book, go out to eat a bunch and watch Daredevil season two. She’s interested, so Tim and I decided not to watch any more episodes until she gets here Tuesday.
We’ll also meet up with Funny About Money this week to shoot the breeze, but also to pick her brain clean about the e-book biz. But mainly to chat. Wendy’s trip = excuse for a Frosty. Dammit, now I want a Frosty. I miss my meds.
That’s about all I can extract from my med-less addled brain at the moment. Except to let you know that my mom is giving away a copy of her writing course. She’s an amazing writer, which I’d say even if she weren’t my mom (though perhaps not as often), so anyone even remotely interested in writing should go enter.
And don’t forget that there are still five days left to win $100 from Dollar Dig!
See you guys on on the other (correctly medicated) side.
