I like to be transparent, so I thought I should be open about the newest change to the site.
Some of you may have noticed the credit card widget added to the sidebar. That’s because I’ve become an affiliate of a credit card website. In other words, I get a commission if anyone clicks that widget or one of my links and ends up applying for a card.
So what does this mean for blog content? Not much.
I’ll probably include the occasional link to rewards cards or travel rewards cards if that happens to be what I’m talking about. And I’ve been meaning to write a summary post of all the rewards cards we’ve tried. That will obviously have links in it.
But I’m not going to start posting regularly about new credit card offers. In fact, I don’t plan on writing posts about cards I haven’t tried/don’t plan on trying. I mean, there’s always the chance that some bonus or other perk will be ramped up to an insane degree, making it too good not to share. But that’s not likely to happen regularly, if at all, so please don’t worry that this will become a credit card blog.
That said, if anyone has questions about a good credit card, please use the contact form to let me know what kind of card you’re looking for. I’ll do some research and get back to you with a couple of good candidates.
So anyway… That’s about it. I just try to be open and honest with you guys while still earning a bit of money to keep the proverbial lights on.
